Jonathan Light is Paratek’s General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer. In this role, Mr. Light leads the legal and compliance functions he has been instrumental in building since joining the company. Mr. Light has also played a pivotal role in numerous important milestones for Paratek including the launch and ongoing commercialization of NUZYRA and the take-private transaction with Gurnet Point Capital and Novo Holdings A/S which was finalized in September 2023.

Mr. Light has over 20 years of corporate, legal, regulatory and compliance experience. He has counseled pharmaceutical companies on development, commercialization, and life-cycle management matters across numerous therapeutic areas. He is a business-minded executive who has a proven track record of building and leading teams of pragmatic, solution-oriented lawyers and compliance professionals. Mr. Light’s areas of expertise include regulatory compliance, complex commercial contracts, corporate governance, licensing and collaboration agreements, dispute resolution, market access, risk management, and employment matters.

Mr. Light joined Paratek from Teva Pharmaceuticals where he served as Executive Counsel. At Teva, Mr. Light provided counsel on key corporate and regulatory compliance matters to the leadership teams for the company’s brand oncology, respiratory and biologics business units in addition to supporting business development, litigation, and multiple product launches. Mr. Light was also previously in-house counsel at Shire Pharmaceuticals where he provided legal guidance to the company’s GI business unit on a range of matters including commercial operations and sales and marketing activities. Mr. Light started his legal career as a litigator at Morgan Lewis where he handled complex commercial disputes, government investigations and product liability matters for several leading life sciences companies.
